Mommy and Daddy go out...

So far so good on the spit up today. Mom (grandma) watched her today and Chris and I ran out for a couple of hours. Bottom looks good today, and she's eating an average of 3 oz's every 3 hours, still a combo of Soy and Breast Milk. The Doc suggested that we try adding rice cereal to her formula to try to keep the milk down, it will add a little weight.

Spitting up again!

Katie is spitting up quite a bit again today and her little tush is showing signs of wanting to get red again. I had Okra and some chocolate cake yesterday, I'm thinking my diet is the culprit as she is really gassy again! Katie slept so much today. No temperature. Such a good girl!

Lunch, Dinner, and first trip to the Mall!

We went to Zaxby's for lunch (me, mommy, daddy and Grandma) after we went to the mall to buy daddy a new belt. Grandpa met us at Sonny's BBQ for dinner! I've been very gassy today. What did mommy eat?

Road Trip to Georgia!

We got to Georgia today around 3:30. Last night we stayed in Ashland, VA. Katie looked so tiny in the king-size bed. Her bottom looks much better, and so does her mouth. She was so good in the car. We took turns driving and sitting in the back seat with her. We were so excited to see Grandpa again!

Katie's mirror & Auntie Kristyns Bridal Shower!

Katie is on her back on her Jungle playmat and today she is so observant of herself! She's grabbing at the mirror and trying to put it in her mouth! We went to Auntie Kristyn's Bridal Shower today and I got to see Oma and meet other people. I was so good!

Katie weighs in...

The doctor had us come down to get a weigh in since there is so much spit-up. Katie weighed in at 6lbs 3ounces today! Wow! She is going on Nystatin cream for her tush and is on the oral for the thrush in her mouth. She's been really congested (after effect of amniotic fluid) so we are putting saline drops in her nose a couple of times a day.
Today, Katie interacted with her toy mirror on her playmat! She grabbed on and was looking at herself! She's so smart!

Little Miss Spit-Up..

Katie spits up so much, and there is so much mucous in it! She's not keeping down any kind of milk, well, I'm sure she's keeping down something, but so much comes back up... Grandma is coming today, and we have Kristyn's Bridal shower on the 26th.

Starting Soy...

Ok, we are being switched to a similac Soy. Katie looks like she's trying to get a diaper rash, so the doc has us switching from milk to soy, I guess it's supposed to be easier to digest. We are cutting milk out of both of our diets. Thrush can also cause a diaper rash, so we are watching it closely!

First trip to the Grocery Store...

Dad pushed me in the stroller while mom shopped. She's not ready to leave me yet, and we don't have a schedule set. I mostly slept.

Lactation Appointment

Well, Katie and I went to see a lactation specialist for latching techniques. They prescribed meds for me, and Katie is going on Nystatin for Thrush. We just keep contaminating each other and it's uncomfortable for us both to breast feed. She has formula mixed in with breast milk. She's spitting up quite a bit. I lost another 7 pounds of water weight since the 14th, and my blood pressure is still down. Busy day of Doctor apts!

Water weight coming off, Thank You God!

Between today and the 11th I lost 15 pounds of water weight, and my blood pressure is a nice and healthy 104/72. Amazing. Michelle came over with Madison and Morgan to visit today! I am so enjoying being home with Katie, but am so lost without a work routine. I guess we'll just have to wing it! We are thinking of going to Georgia if we get an OK from the Doctor. Long Drive!

Katie is trying to lift her head! Visiting Opa!

I'm working so hard at trying to lift my head!
Today mommy and daddy and Grandma took me to the rehab center in Bethel where Opa is staying after having knee replacement surgery. I got to meet him for my very first time and got to see Oma again too! Opa was so happy to meet me!

Oh Boy! Mommy to the ER.

We went up to see Auntie Kristyn and Uncle Vin with Grandma. Mom called the Dr. because she still has a lot of swelling and bloating. The Dr. told mom to go have her blood pressure taken right away, and then sent her to the Emergency Room. Dr. Espina was worried about preeclampsia in mom. Moms blood pressure was 169/90 - so they had to keep her for a while and give her blood pressure medication. Mom was so upset because she wanted to be with me, but I stayed with Grandma at Auntie Kristyn's so I wouldn't get germs in the hospital. Daddy drove up to be with mommy, and Auntie Kristyn and Uncle Vin stayed with mommy too. Mommy got to go home around midnight, it was a long evening for everyone!

First Doctors Apt!

Katie weighed in at 5lbs 13ounces today. She's doing great, daddy held her and talked her through the appointment!

Going Home From the Hospital!

I'm going home from the Hospital today with mom and dad. I weighed in at 5lbs 9ounces today. The doctor told mom to add formula in with breast milk because I'm so tiny. Grandma and Grandpa are up from Georgia. I had so many visitors while I was in the hospital! Grandma and Grandpa were there within minutes of my birth. Oma came (Opa couldn't because he just had knee replacement surgery), Aunt Mandy, Uncle Jim, Cortney, Ashley, Aaron, Adam (we have the same birthday!), Aunt Kristyn and Uncle Vin, the Letizia's came with my new BFF Morgan who was born on June 2nd, and Ali and Lumar came to see me too! It was really crowded when they came by, so they didn't get to stay long.
